Simplyhealth Update |
|
From September 09, the HSA PMP brand will become known as Simplyhealth, following in the footsteps of the BCWA, Medisure and Remedi rebrand to Simplyhealth back in June 09. The Healthcode systems will be updated to reflect this change in October 09. Key changes include:
-
- Must be between 4 and 10 digits with the first characters M or C or I followed by numbers.
- HSA PMP will no longer be displayed on the list of insurers; instead you will need to select the new name - Simplyhealth. This will apply to submission of electronic bills and secure messaging.
- Existing Simplyhealth policy number formats will accommodate HSA PMP, with one additional change:
It has also been highlighted that a few valid Simplyhealth (ex Remedi) number formats have been overlooked and the Healthcode systems will also be updated to include these from the same date, as shown below:
-
- AA/2-8 A's/A, where A equals alpha. For example, AB/CD/E, AB/CDE/F, AB/CDEF/G and so on. The number of alpha's between the 2 backslashes will range from 2 to 8.
- AA(N)/2-8 N's/A(N)
Healthcode will provide a further update nearer the time of implementation.
Electronic Remits
End to end testing of CIGNA electronic remits in our test environment is now complete. CIGNA will run a live pilot with BMI hospitals in parallel with paper (faxed) remits. This is expected to take place in the next few weeks. Once results of the live pilot is satisfactory, CIGNA will activate electronic remits for all other hospital providers, we anticipate this will take place at the end of September, early October.
Development and testing continues and results are looking promising. Once end to end testing is complete, Standard Life Healthcare plan to run a live pilot with BMI hospitals and subsequently rollout to other hospital providers. We anticipate progression with testing during September and the live pilot commencing in October.
WPA on board to accept electronic bills from hospitals
System testing with WPA completed in August 2009. All BMI hospitals are now billing electronically to WPA. We anticipate rollout to other hospital providers to complete by the end of October. Your Account Manager will be in touch shortly to confirm activation dates. |
