Have you tried… adding an invoice task?

Published: Wednesday, 10 August 2022 10:35

The problem: I’ve recently chased an outstanding invoice and the patient has promised that payment will be in the bank by the end of the month. So I don’t forget, can I set myself a reminder to check?

Healthcode’s reply:
Use the invoice tasks feature in ePractice Pro to add a note against the invoice and a date for you to follow this up.

Quick guide to setting an invoice task

  • Use the Quick Menu to select Payment Tracking or access it through the Accounting menu.
  • Select an invoice from the list and click on Manage transactions and then the Tasks tab.
  • Select who the task is for from the drop-down menu at the top of the box.
  • Select from the drop-down menu to link this task to a specific invoice or to a payor.
  • Type the task into the Note box, use the calendar to set the follow-up by date and select task type from the drop-down menu or add one of your own to the list.
  • Click Save.
  • You can repeat the process to add new tasks.
  • Other users can view any new tasks in the Notes tab against the patient’s details.
  • Go to Credit Control and then select Task Tracking every day to see a list of tasks you need to complete
  • Task dates turn red once they are overdue to reflect urgency. Once actioned, the practice manager can click complete and Save.
