Desne MarstonA highly-experienced practice manager who has spent her career in the private health sector has joined the healthcare technology specialists, Healthcode, as the Company’s Product Marketing Manager.

Desné Marston will focus on Healthcode’s ePractice services which enable independent practices to control their financial transactions and practice tasks from one secure online platform. She brings more than 20 years’ real-world experience of practice management systems to her new role, most recently overseeing all aspects of practice administration at the Harley Street ENT Clinic in London, including billing through Healthcode’s billing service. In addition, she has worked for single-handed practitioners, clinics and in a private hospital setting and previously set up and chaired the Practice Managers’ Forum which attracted more than 300 members from the private sector and the NHS.

Desné is already working closely with the team to give them a practice-manager’s insight into how practices operate and she will be involved with product development from initial concept to marketplace. She also hopes to get out and about to meet existing and prospective customers so she can find out what they want from a practice management system and show them how Healthcode’s integrated solution can help them manage their business more efficiently.

She said: “It’s an exciting time to join Healthcode because there are so many developments in the pipeline with the potential to transform the business of private practice. I’m delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to the process and help make the system the best it can be for customers so they can ensure their practices reach their potential.”

Kingsley Hollis, Healthcode’s Head of Business Development (ePractice) added: “I’m delighted to welcome Desné to our team. Her appointment helps ensure that we have the right blend of technical expertise and practical industry experience within the Company and reflects Healthcode’s ‘by industry for industry’ approach to product development.”
