  Electronic billing - Validation Rule Changes
With immediate effect, both AXA PPPh and CIGNA have made changes to their policy numbers.

AXA logoAXA PPPh have recently extended policy number formats on their system.  The changes made will allow for additional policy numbers to be created in relation to new policy holders.  The changes made to the validation rule will not impact on any existing policy numbers and will allow for any new formats to process smoothly through the system in the future.

Cigna logoNew CIGNA policy numbers will now be in the format of either AAXXXXXXA or AAXXXXXXANN.  Where 'A' is alpha, 'X' is alphanumeric and 'N' is a number.  Both these changes will impact validation rule 43 (patient insurer registration number).   

Please be advised that CIGNA have added additional formats to their policy number requirements to include AAXXXXXXXNN and AAXXXXXXX.  We will write to advise you when these changes have been implemented.

HealthChoice accept e-billing from BMI hospitals

HealthChoice HealthChoice is now on board to accept electronic billing from BMI hospitals. The HealthChoice is also available on Healthcode's Secure Messaging Service (SMS).  This will facilitate the exchange of patients' sensitive and confidential information between HealthChoice and BMI hospitals.
ePractice manager Update

ePm suite ePractice manager, Healthcode's new online practice management solution, is nearing completion, with testing underway of some final features and enhancements.  With testing due to complete over the next few weeks, we are expecting to write to all our customers soon with the offer of a free 60 day trial.

NHS Code Toolkit
NHS Code ToolkitTier 3 of the NHS Code Toolkit provides the functionality to generate HRGs based on clinical, diagnostic, episode and patient data. This is now undergoing user acceptance and beta testing. Healthcode welcomes hospitals who wish to participate in beta testing.  Please email This email address is being protected from spambots. Man with computerOnline specialist maintenance allows hospital providers to update and maintain details of its list of controlling specialists. This is presently undergoing user acceptance testing.
